Jon Bobrow

Hi, I’m Jon.

I’m a designer, inventor and programmer, constantly curious about the space between play, learning and technology.

Designing interactive museum installations first drew me to the intersection of physical and digital worlds.

At the MIT Media Lab’s Playful Systems group, I researched how games and objects could make complex systems legible. That work led to co-founding Move38 and creating Blinks, an open-source tabletop game system played by thousands.

My work spans hardware, software, tangible interfaces and interactive experiences, guided by the belief that code is just another form of creative expression.

How I make these apps Draft

[A short paragraph in your words: these started as fixes for little snags in your own day. Why small, why only one thing each.]

Sketch

[Where ideas start: a notebook, a Scriptable widget, a note on your phone.]

Build alongside AI

[How you work with AI: what you hand it, what you keep for yourself, what surprised you.]

Sand it down

[The polishing: using it every day, noticing the rough spots, deciding what to leave out.]
